Controversial South African politician, Julius Malema is leading his opposition party, the Economic Freedom Fighters’ campaign in the KwaZulu Natal province, stronghold of the governing ANC.
The campaign is for municipal elections to be held on August 3.

Julius Malema told supporters they “must rescue South Africa’‘, saying ‘‘the EFF is there to rescue South Africa so that South Africa is not another failed African state. ANC has been honoured for 22 years, now it’s time to vote for the future. Stop looking back, this is the party of your choice, this is the party that will take you out of poverty.”
The rally took place at the Luthuli Centre in KwaDukuza regarded as holy grounds for the ANC.

The EFF is looking to increase its share of votes in the upcoming polls.
